Course Objectives:

  • Understand the 4 aspects of total wellness – Physical, Mental, Emotional and Energetic/Spiritual

  • Incorporate activities and information applied to Movement, Nutrition, Herbal Support, Energetic principles and more.
  • Understand concepts of the Native American medicine wheel and how the different areas fit into the 4 directions of the wheel.

VISION BOARDS

Learn about the Laws of Attraction and Allowing and how you are using them in your life. Group meditation followed by creative collage activity. Design images to assist the Universe in co-creating your dreams and desires. Some Supplies included. Bring your own scissors. Bring any additional pictures or magazines you would like to use or share. 3 hours.

FIGHT, FLIGHT, FREEZE - WHAT IS POLYVAGAL THEORY?

Learn about –
Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous System responses and how to keep more balance
How the Vagus nerve impacts every organ system of the body,
Why stress has such an impact on our bodies, minds and emotions,
AND – learn 3 easy short techniques that you can use to reset your nervous system and calm down.

HELP ME SLEEP!

Participants will:
1.Identify common factors that keep you from sleeping well.
2.Obtain information for changing activity/sleep patterns.
3.Learn about herbal nervines and adaptogens.

In this class we will learn about
Food as medicine,
Herbs that help us with winter wellness,
We will also explore self-care activities, habits and patterns, supportive dietary and herbal options for maintaining your resiliency and health through the winter (and all of the seasons).

PH AND INFLAMMATION

Everything we put into our bodies and also things that impact us in the environment affect our PH. Emotions and stress have significant impacts on our PH. What you are thinking about while you are eating/preparing food, etc… has at least an equal if not higher affect on our PH.

Ph directly relates to the inflammation process and disease process vs wellness.
Learn about acidic vs alkalizing food choices, habits and behaviors that are contributing to your wellness. Learn how to check your Ph, what is optimal Ph, and signals your body is giving you.

KEEP MOVING - 2 PART SERIES ON STRUCTURAL ANATOMY

I welcome you to join me for a 2-part interactive series to help you keep moving.
Part 1 – “Reach for the Stars” – is a hands-on session covering the neck, shoulders, arms, and upper back.

Part 2 – “Put a Little Spring in your Step”– will cover the low back and lower extremities. That will consist of basic structural anatomy, common patterns, and simple techniques that I have learned over 25 years of physical therapy practice, to keep you moving more freely and reduce musculoskeletal pain.

Take the time to come and learn why your feet take such a beating and how you can apply these simple techniques to make them feel better.

In this class you will learn:

1. The basic structure of the foot and how it supports you.
2. The common problems affecting the feet; plantar fasciitis, bunions, corns, and more.
3. The common injuries; sprains, toe jambs, fractures.
4. What you can do to repair, rebuild, and give them some love!

BEGINNING THERAPY BALL EXERCISES

Co-taught by Stacey and Joseph. “I got this big thing, now what do I do with it?” Learn efficient, safe, effective, FUN, ways to exercise and incorporate your ball into your daily routine. 1 hour.

Tai Chi is a movement form from China. Learning the movements can help you build your inner strength. It helps you with mental focus, balance, coordination, flexibility and feeling peaceful. We will practice and learn beginning level movements.

BACKPACK CLASS

“Is there a better way to carry my backpack”? And other tips for staying strong and flexible as you grow up.
